LATEST NEWS
- NC PHRF Introduces Downwind Ratings
You may have noticed that your 2010 PHRF Certificate now has a standard rating and a downwind rating. These downwind ratings only apply to races that are historically downwind events, such as the Spinnaker Cup, the Delta Ditch Run and the Pac Cup. As downwind performance is strongly affected by length, downwind sail area, displacement, and wetted surface, downwind ratings may vary significantly from standard ratings. Please read the Downnwind Rating FAQ HERE for a complete list of races that should use the downwind ratings, as well as information on how the ratings are determined. Actual Downwind Ratings for boats that have current certificates can be found on the NC PHRF Current Certificate Holders Reports. Still need to renew or sign-up to race this year? You can renew your PHRF Certificate, get a new PHRF Certificate, and sign up to race, all through our ELECTRONIC SIGN-UP site.
